Jude can hardly present an elaborate theology in such a short letter. The elements of the faith that the author and his audience share emerges from comments made during the course of the argument. Salvation implies a calling by the God of Israel to serve Jesus as Lord in anticipation of Jesus’ coming in judgment (v. 1). This message was taught by the apostles (v. 18).
